3rd Party Support
In recent news with all the great first party games that have been released for the Nintendo Switch as in Splatoon 2, Mario Kart, and the original fight Arms. In Nintendo years of being a gaming company, they have not had great support from companies like Electronic Arts, 2k games, or even Activision. Nintendo just released a video conference called a Nintendo Direct, and they have named numerous third party games that have been released or being released.

They announced one of my favorite basketball franchises NBA 2k18. This is huge for Nintendo, this would be the first time a full-fledged NBA 2k game can be taken on the go. Now people can play the My GM mode, My Career mode, or any other mode that is on its PlayStation 4 counterpart at any time. Also announced was the critically acclaimed soccer game FIFA 18, this is one of the bestselling sports titles of all time. Soccer can be taken on the go the only downside of this game is that it won’t have the same amount of features as the bigger consoles, PlayStation 4 or Xbox one, but it can still play the basic play now version of the game. It is very disappointing that FIFA fans cannot play the MY GM version of the game on the go but they can play with their favorite soccer teams at any time of the day. Another game that was really surprising to me that was announced, was DOOM. DOOM is the first ever first person shooter introduced to the gaming world and was remade last year on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Now it will be available to play on the go and at home. Imagine being able to kill monsters at your work desk or on the train. Or the fact that if you end up playing the game at home, you don’t have to save and wait for your return now you can bring it with you.
The only downside would be the graphical performance of these games when played on the Switch. The games would not be able to perform at 60 frames per second or even have the same polygon count, but Nintendo has never been about the graphics, just about gameplay. That could hurt the sales of the games but the fact that a person can bring home console quality games anywhere is a great plus.
