NBA 2k18 has been released on the Nintendo Switch on September 15, 2017.  I have been playing this game nonstop since its release.  The game was released for digital download only, as of now, it will release on October 7, 2017 on a physical copy.  I prefer to have a physical copy of a game for reasons, such as loss prevention or resell value but I needed this 2k game right away.  A long story short about this game is that it is the same game that Playstation and Xbox owners but can also be played on the go.  The only difference in the versions is graphical power, which a person like me is willing to sacrifice for portability.  NBA 2k is one of the top selling franchises of all time and there are plenty of people who have to pause their game to go to work, school, or vacation.  Instead of having to pause the game and wait for hours or even days to play again you can pick it up and go.  And play your favorite modes, like My career or My GM, on the train, plane or even at your desk.  In my opinion that creates more value than being able to play in 60 Frames per second or realistic looking gameplay.  But the game does play in a steady 30 frames per second, which is adequate for handhelds.  There are some noticeable graphical glitches. I personally take the graphical glitches so I can play my favorite game on the go.  Online is also a mainstay of the series with the digital age being prevalent in everything we do.  The online servers are almost unplayable.  I have tried playing quick games through the internet and it was unbearable there was lag all over the place, from the shooting to the passing, there was no way I could play.  The main reason for that is there is no Ethernet cable output for internet.  Online isn’t my main focus when it comes to NBA 2k, because the servers are usually bad in all forms of the game.  This game is really enjoyable though and it is perfect for people of all ages, whether you’re a child or a basketball enthusiast.  It is the best NBA simulator on the market and now you can play either at home or on the go, with friends.  This maybe the best Nintendo Switch game available yet.
