Black Friday and cyber Monday have recently passed.  There were many deals and sales on all gaming consoles but the one console that came out on top was the Nintendo Switch.  The Nintendo Switch was the hottest selling item out of any game console.  Despite the PlayStation 4 being only 200 dollars as well as the Xbox one.  The Nintendo Switch was the only console that did not have a sale on the actual console, which is surprising why it is one of the top holiday items out there.  It was the number one bestselling online product on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.  It had a record-breaking year.  This says a lot about the direction gaming is going and what company has the market on hold.  The Nintendo staff was even surprise about the sale numbers.  The main reason this is so huge is that after these great amount of sales, will other companies begin developing more games for the console.  It also saw record sales in their top categories of games like Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, and Zelda.  With these bump in sales you could see a great rise in the online community for Nintendo.  With a rise in the community, Nintendo would be forced to make a greater improvement in its online services.  Nintendo Switch even performed better than any console in the history of gaming.  Now even Electronic Arts, who has struggled to put products on Nintendo, are talking about getting onboard with more of their great titles.  This will also increase the sales of its 3rd part games, which was always Nintendo’s main issue.  It just astounds me that these other consoles were knocked off 100 dollars and Nintendo Switch sales were still greater.  It shows that the consumer does not want to play their console games at home anymore they want to take all their games on the train, the bus, the airport, etc.  Nintendo Switch is becoming this season’s hottest item; there will not be many people, who play video games, without one shortly.  The only negative with this is will the system overlap Nintendo is other products like the Nintendo 3DS or 2DS, which are also portable gaming devices.  It makes us Nintendo fans happy to see the titan of gaming is back on top and is not stopping anytime soon.  I know if my child wanted a holiday item, I would just buy them a Nintendo Switch.
